The Village Storm History explained

The selected NOAA records below include reported hail and thunderstorm-wind begin points inside today’s The Village boundary from 2017 through 2026. The 2026 annual detail collection is incomplete and available through July 31 in the retained data. These selected records are not a complete storm history.

The reports preserve dates and reported magnitudes, including hail diameter in inches and wind estimates in knots. A begin point is not a storm track or a finding of damage at an address. If a roof changed after an event, the roof findings and property history matter alongside the record.

What a Report Means for a Roof

Keep the record’s actual meaning beside the roofing question.

A dated event

A report can help place a roof concern in time. The report location and the property can have different exposure.

Current roof condition

An inspection examines the covering and affected details. It does not alone prove when every mark occurred.

Physical work and coverage

Repair scope follows actual condition. The insurer applies the policy to the claim; a NOAA entry does not promise payment.

Storm Record FAQs

Why are there not county storm counts here?

County, forecast-zone and city begin-point records have different scopes. This small selection keeps its reported-point meaning clear rather than presenting a county total as damage in The Village.

Does a 1.75-inch report mean that size hit my roof?

No. It records reported hail diameter for the event at the recorded location. The report does not establish the hail at each property.

What should I do after noticing roof damage?

Tell us the property location, what changed and when. The storm damage service explains temporary protection and permanent roofing work.
